Her PURPOSE embodies love.
"Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also out to love one another."
*I John 4:7-11
Reflection & Application
Are my actions and words embodied with God's love?
Do you love me? The question and cry of every human heart.
Love. The attribute that doesn't just describe how God acts, but embodies who God is. Father God's sacrificial love that prepared His Son to be the perfect atonement for our sins. This Gospel pursuit that ensured victory over death and the tearing of the veil ... ultimately providing everyone the opportunity to come and live in the power of His Spirit and be in communion with Him. The perfect and eternal fellowship of the Triune God that casts out fear and promises for us to be conquerors through Him because He loved us (Romans 8:38)! This scandalous love that buys our souls back from sin and death and exchanges it for a crown (James 1:12).
How great is God's love? How patient is God's love! This unconceivable love that fashioned every part of us and calls us by name. Even if we tried to comprehend God's love toward us for the rest of our days, we would fall terribly short in understanding the enormity of His all-encompassing love.
"Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God" (Ephesians 3:17-19).
We are created in love, embellished in the fullness of His love, wrapped in the exuberance of love, sanctified in perfect love, and instructed to love those around us. We are able to love, because He first loved us. Our purpose as women, who live between the cross and the crown, is to continue to live in the love that God has for us and extend that love to those all around us. Because God's love never fails.
